If you lease with Landstar trucking company, the benefits are: Landstar pays the cargo insurance, you’ll have opportunity to book more loads, and you get full price for the load.

As an approved carrier under your own authority, you have access to the Landstar load board but not all the loads go to the carrier board. Also, you negotiate your rates. If you are leased onto Landstar and you do not have a trailer you can use one of ours. If you are a carrier you will need to have your own trailer.
