Iowa Truckstop and Missouri Clinic Offering COVID-19 Vaccine

If you are traveling through Iowa or Missouri now through May 20th, you can receive the COVID-19 vaccine if you wish to do so. Opening public areas to administer the COVID-19 vaccine helps protect and help slow the spread of this virus.

COVID-19 Vaccine in Iowa

The Iowa 80 Truck Stop is offering COVID-19 vaccines with various hour operations. Walcott truck stop is working with the West Des Moines, Iowa Hy-Vee to offer five vaccine clinics in May. Below are the schedules for this vaccination:

Walcott Vaccine Dates:

  • Monday, May 10th from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 13th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Friday, May 14th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 15th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 16th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

If you are traveling through and want to guarantee a time, you can schedule an appointment here. However, walk-ins are welcome.

No insurance? No problem, at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, insurance is not required. However, you must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license to receive the vaccine. Also, any United States citizen, drivers who are Canadian residents or citizens, or other countries can receive the vaccine.

Missouri COVID-19 Clinic

While Iowa offers vaccines to drivers traveling through, if you are traveling through Missouri, you can receive the same opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Iowa 80 Group set up a clinic at the Oak Grove 70 Petro in Oak Grove, Missouri, for Thursday, May 20th, from the hours of 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. This clinic can be found off I-70 at Exit 28.

To receive the vaccine, no appointment is necessary. All walk-ins are welcome.

Receive Vaccination Site Resources

If you are having trouble finding a local vaccination site, the Federal Emergency Management Agency allows individuals to text their current ZIP code to 438829. By doing so, you will receive a text message with the nearest COVID-19 vaccination location. You may also visit www.vaccines.gov for more information.
